Give today to support the Ella Baker Center's internship program. We offer all of our interns stipends and your gift will help support the leadership of our youth.
For nearly 25 years, the Ella Baker Center has fought tirelessly to create a community of care for our youth that includes shifting resources away from youth incarceration.
One critical way we do this is by creating opportunities for young people to grow and develop their leadership skills through our internship program -- helping our youth to align their passions with their purpose.
Why do we fight for our community? Our Y is our YOUTH!
You know that empowerment comes when people can take action for themselves. At EBC, we believe in the power of our youth to lead and advocate. This year we have seen what our youth are capable of when they are able to use their power and passions for a purpose.
Our amazing interns, whose passion for people and fervor to bring justice and equity, are instrumental in building safer, healthier, and stronger futures for our community!
These young people inspire us daily as they walk in their purpose – and we hope they inspire you to rediscover #whatsyourY!
We are dedicating this #GivingTuesday to our incredible interns. Each intern receives a stipend to make it accessible. This year we’re focusing #GivingTuesday on intern stipends because there is such a dire need for resources for students and young people.
